David Sullivan, the owner of West Ham Women's, has been banned from having contact with the club's youth and women's teams for three years. The ban was imposed after a Football Association probe into historical sex abuse allegations against him. Sullivan, who is 77 years old, has been accused of abusing his power to prey on young women for sex – allegations dating back to the 1980s. He has branded the claims 'factually incorrect and entirely false'. The ban was imposed by a safeguarding panel made up of the club, the FA and the local authority. Sullivan continued to attend men's matches in his role as co-chair – a position he quit at the weekend. The restrictions had never been made public until now.
